Person in wheelchair struck, killed by vehicle in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A person in a wheelchair was struck and killed in an accident at 40th and Adeline streets in Oakland Monday morning, according to police.

The crash closed 40th street in the area, which is a highly traveled street.

There is no word yet on who was at fault but there are at least five police units in the area.
