Now that Mayor Ed Lee has been officially laid to rest the jockeying for political position begins.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Now that Mayor Ed Lee has been officially laid to rest the jockeying for political position begins.

As of Monday, six people have announced they'll be running for Mayor of San Francisco, following Lee's sudden death.

Former Supervisor Angela Alioto, daughter of San Francisco's 36th mayor Joseph Alioto was one of those six to throw her hat in the ring.
