HOUSTON -- A dog injured in a beating by a CenterPoint Energy worker in Houston has died.
Mike Wilcox says his dog Shutter was severely injured after the incident in March, and succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

The family released video from a surveillance camera which caught the worker as he swung his wrench at two of the Wilcox family's Weimaraners. At one point, he hit one of the dogs in the face.
A second dog was struck in the side as it attempted to run from the CenterPoint Energy contractor.

Flash had to undergo jaw surgery in April. The dog also suffered a damaged eye, lost a tooth and had a concussion.
But again, sadly, the Wilcox family has confirmed that Shutter died from trauma suffered during the attack.
