Father tries to smuggle his 8-year-old son in a suitcase

A startling image on an x-ray machine led to a disturbing discovery at an airport in Spain. A father tried to smuggle his 8-year-old son from Africa to Europe inside of his suitcase.

The father is from the Ivory Coast and gave the luggage to his wife before going through a border crossing.

Authorities are caring for the boy, who is said to be in a terrible state.

The father is in jail, accused of abuse.
