Bus fire shuts down several lanes of northbound I-280 in South Francisco

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- All lanes of northbound I-280 are now open again in South San Francisco after a bus fire shut them down Friday evening.

Officials say the passengers got off the bus and are being transferred to another one. No injuries were reported.

The driver reportedly tried to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher, but the bus became fully engulfed.

There's no word yet on what sparked the blaze.
