SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- The largest employees union for Santa Clara County workers has rejected a new four-year contract.
Friday's action cancels a tentative agreement that stopped a strike just over a week ago.
Right now, 9,000 county workers -- including 911 dispatchers, hospital lab technicians and social workers -- are working without a contract.
Pay, staffing and health care contributions are the sticking points.
A union spokesperson says the union's bargaining team will meet Saturday to discuss the next steps.
