SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- There's a new way to measure how well your child is doing in school. The Sacramento Bee reports one school district is testing a new type of report card that will measure social attributes.

They include a child's level of grit and gratitude, as well as how sensitive they are toward others.

Students are scored on a 1 to 4 scale, ranging from "almost always" to "rarely."

The San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento sent the first round of these report cards home with students at 11 elementary schools in November.

All other California schools will switch over in the fall.
