SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Thursday President Barack Obama signed the The Research Excellence and Advancements for Dyslexia Act, or READ Act. It provides millions of dollars for research into the learning disorder dyslexia.
As many as 8.5 million American school children may have dyslexia. It's something that even affects California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom.
