Another record year for enrollment applications at UC Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- It's another record year for enrollment applications at UC Berkeley.

According to figures released by the UC Office of the President on Monday, more than 79,000 high school students applied for fall admission at Cal Berkeley.

That's a seven percent increase from last year.

In fact, all nine undergraduate campuses of the University of California saw record high application numbers.

Overall, the total number of University of California applicants rose for the 11th year in a row.
