San Lorenzo High School to change 'racist' mascot

SAN LORENZO, Calif. (KGO) -- San Lorenzo High School is moving forward with a plan to makeover its mascot after concerns that it was racist.

The school's principal took to Facebook to confirm that the school district voted unanimously to change the look of "Rebel Guy."

The makeover will distance the mascot from its confederate roots, but Rebel Guy will keep his name.
