SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- UC President Janet Napolitano is apologizing for a comment she made during a protest at Wednesday's UC regents meeting.
It's hard to hear, so ABC7 News has subtitled the video where Napolitano turned to UC regents chairman Bruce Varner and had the following exchange:
"Let's just break. What? Let's go. What? Let's go. We don't have to listen to this crap," said Napolitano.
It was caught on a video stream posted on the Regents' website. Napolitano says her word choice was "unfortunate" and it was meant to be private.
Students were protesting planned tuition increases and jobs connected to a future campus in Richmond. Some even stripped down to their underwear to show their losing their shirts paying for tuition.
