SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- An Oakland musician is apologizing to his fans for being kicked out of Outside Lands after he was accused of scalping performer tickets.

Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park is the sold out music event of the year and people are doing whatever they can to get inside the concert, including jumping the fence.

Fantastic Negrito did not take the stage at Outside Lands. San Francisco police cited the artist and two others in his camp for peddling artist wristbands. Outside Lands then cancelled their act.

"Out of nowhere about 10 SFPD officers rush us, grab us and handcuff us and instruct us to get on the ground," Fantastic Negrito said.

Police say officers detained three after receiving information they were peddling artist wristbands not meant for resale.

"Acting on a tip from Another Planet Entertainment, who advised us of what was going on, so our officers looked into it, went to the location and were able to see this transaction take place," said San Francisco police officer Carlos Manfredi.

"Apparently, it was an intern from our office had sold one wristband," Fantastic Negrito said.

Fantastic Negrito said he had nothing to do with it. Outside Lands made the decision to call off the performance, according to police.

Fans were disappointed.

"Well that's unfortunate, but I will play for them again. It's not over," Fantastic Negitro said.

"For one ticket, they used us as an example and that's what hurts me and I hurt for Outside Lands. No one wants it. Were we jumping the fence? No," said Alistair Monroe, a promoter.

Though there were fence jumpers, there was word on whether or not they were cited.
