Bacon lovers pig out on International Bacon Day

It's really never too late in the day to enjoy bacon, and we have another reason to pig out because Saturday is International Bacon Day.

The tasty celebration falls on the the Saturday before Labor Day each year.

It's estimated that every American eats 18 pounds of bacon a year. The pork industry says bacon appeals more to men than women and people 34 and older eat the most bacon.

Sales were up 9.5 percent last year.
