Poison Control calls show spike of toddlers exposed to energy drinks

A new study finds toddlers are drinking energy drinks by accident prompting thousands of calls to Poison Control centers.

The American Heart Association found that out of the 5,100 calls to Poison Control for energy drink exposure, 40 percent involved children under 6.

All that caffeine, sometimes as much as 300 milligrams, can cause vomiting, seizures and serious heart problems.
