1 man dead, 3 injured after shooting outside Vallejo home
One man died and three other people were injured in a shooting that took place just outside a Vallejo home.

VALLEJO, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are searching for the gunman or gunmen responsible for a quadruple shooting that killed one man and injured three others, including a young boy. It happened around 4 p.m. Friday on Porter and McLane streets.

Police say the say this is Vallejo's 4th homicide of the year.

There was a barrage of gunfire in the south part of town and people heard it from several blocks away.

Neighbor Brad Flaherty told ABC7 News, "It sounded like two pistols going off at the same time, and me and my buddy we both tackled my son and wrapped him up between us."

Flaherty lives two doors down from the Vallejo house where a bullet-riddled black Monte Carlo is parked in the driveway of 509 Porter Street. He says he heard at least 18 shots.

"Someone was sitting in the driver's seat and he got shot and his foot hit the gas pedal and the engine was revving over and over again," Flaherty said.

Police say a man was shot while working on the car and a man with him died at the scene. Stray bullets hit two other people inside the house -- a woman was shot in the hand and a 9-year-old boy grazed in the face.

Witness David Sepulveda said, "I [saw] that little boy walk away like a champ after he got clipped."

Neighbors say two of the adult victims are the parents of the boy.

A store owner and friend, Ayman Hussein, said one of the men "always comes to my store every day. We always talk, we laugh, we have a good time."

Most of the yellow markers at the scene represent bullet casings scattered all over.

Police believe there is more than one suspect, and they may have taken off in a maroon sedan. Meanwhile, investigators are trying to figure out who would ambush these victims with such extreme force.
