Call for SF DA to try teen stabbing suspect as adult

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The family and friends of a San Francisco teenager who was fatally stabbed to death last month held a demonstration Tuesday calling on the district attorney to try the suspect as an adult. If he's not, he could be released from jail by the time he's 23.

Fourteen year old Rashawn Williams was killed on Sept. 2 while standing outside a store in the Mission District. Williams was a top student and talented football player who had earned a near-full scholarship to Sacred Heart.

The 14-year-old suspected killer appeared in court Tuesday. He is one of Williams' former classmates from junior high school.
