Car bursts into flames after crash in Marin County

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (KGO) -- A car burst into flames along Highway 101 in San Rafael and slowed traffic for a short time Friday morning.

Our media partner the Marin Independent Journal reports that the 60-year-old driver was heading along Civic Center Drive when the accident happened.

The car crashed through a fence and then caught fire. Firefighters from San Rafael fire put it out. The driver was rushed to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
