Car crashes into power pole, causes fire near Pittsburg

PITTSBURG, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews put out a fire after a car crashed into a power pole on Kirker Pass Road near Pittsburg on Tuesday.

Kirker Pass Road is closed and that's causing a lot of traffic in the area.

Crews have put out the fire and are working on clearing the power pole from two lanes on the road.

Nearly 1,700 people were without electricity in the area after the accident, but power was restored to all but seven customers by 6:35 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
