Clown accused of attempting to kidnap 1-year-old girl in Concord

CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are searching for a man in a clown suit accused of attempting to kidnap a 1-year-old girl in Concord this afternoon.

Concord police said a woman called to report a clown approached her and her daughter after finishing lunch at a Denny's on Willow Pass Road near Water World Parkway in Concord.

Officials said the clown was not wearing shoes or face paint.

The woman said she kicked the man after he allegedly tugged at the young girl's arm.
