Fatal shooting near Crocker Amazon Playground in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO -- One person died after he was shot near Crocker Amazon Playground in San Francisco Saturday evening, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at Geneva Avenue and Moscow Street shortly before 8 p.m., Officer Albie Esparza said.

Arriving officers found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds, Esparza said.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to Esparza.

No arrests have been made, he said.
