Father defends De La Salle HS student accused of sexual assault
The father of the De La Salle High School student accused in a sexual assault case is now putting the blame on the teenage girl who said she was raped.

CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- The father of the De La Salle High School student accused in a sexual assault case is now putting the blame on the teenage girl who said she was raped.

A 15-year-old girl says the student sexually assaulted her after a football game at De La Salle. The boy's dad now tells the East Bay Times the sex was consensual.

Additionally, the father is himself a registered sex offender.

The Contra Costa District Attorney's Office says it has not decided whether or not to press charges in the case.

In a statement to the East Bay Times, the boy's father said, "He's tall, dark and handsome, he plays for De La Salle, there's a lot of girls that want to be with my son. When young, fast girls see something they like, they go after it."
