Foreman struck by pipe on old Bay Bridge span
Investigators are looking into an incident on the old Bay Bridge that left a worker injured Monday morning.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Investigators are looking into an incident on the old Bay Bridge that left a worker injured Monday morning.

A person riding in a car on the new span captured a video as a fire truck rushed along the old span the 40-year-old labor foreman's aid.

The foreman was hit in the chest by a pipe and fell back from the shock and hit his head.

Caltrans says the pipe was likely part of the bridge's lighting system.

The worker was wearing safety gear and is expected to be OK.
