Fresno man leaves resume after robbing CVS Pharmacy, police say
A bold robber might have gotten away with his crime had he not left something very significant behind.

FRESNO, Calif. -- A bold robber might have gotten away with his crime had he not left something very significant behind.

Riley John Bigger really wanted a soda and some headphones. So he took his backpack and bicycle to CVS, and grabbed his goods. Southeast detectives say Bigger is seen on surveillance images, running away from the store on foot. In his haste he forgot the bike and the backpack full of goods, and the clerk at CVS knew it.

Southeast robbery detective Donnie Dinnell described the video, "They're gonna have a debate right here- he wants his bike, she wants her property back."

Eventually he decides he'll leave on the bike. At one point he realizes what he's leaving and decides to take off anyway.

Dinnell said, "He probably was out of breath and out of strength to come back in for the backpack when all was said and done."

The clerk called police and handed over the backpack. One would think the story would end there but it takes a turn even the cops couldn't predict. In the backpack! The stolen soda and headphones. There was also evidence connecting him to other crimes, and a very detailed, professional resume complete with name, address and phone number.

Dinnell added, "The part I love about the resume is where he identifies his skills-the first being that he's a good customer service person, people person, family oriented and an outgoing personality, raised with good morals on a family farm."

Riley John Bigger, 19, also identifies himself as a problem solver, someone who can stay calm and make decisions based on common sense.

Chief Jerry Dyer said, "You don't have to be smart to be a criminal, but you do have to be smart to get away with committing a criminal act."

Chief Dyer says they've arrested Bigger seven times and they hope this time he'll be sent to prison, where he'll create a resume of a different sort.

Riley John Bigger is in the Fresno County jail, charged with 13 felonies, including identity theft, robbery, burglary and auto theft.
