March, vigil held in Hayes Valley after deaths of 4 men
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Monday night about 100 people marched through the streets of Hayes Valley chanting, "all lives matter, all lives matter!" They are looking for justice in the killings of four young men. The group marched to Page and Laguna where the men, in their early 20's, were gunned down.
The sister of one of the victims began to tear up and shouted to the crowd, "It's sad the only reason why we unite is because of death! I want to break down right now. This was my only brother!"
Police say the victims were parked in a stolen car when they were shot at close range. Three had gang ties, but police have no suspects at this time.
At an earlier prayer vigil Suhr expressed that this case was a tough one for him. He made an appeal to the crowd saying, "I've been a cop a long time and this one... I... you know, I'm sorry. If somebody knows who did it, please come forward."
Madrid Johnson lost his nephew, 22-year-old Manuel O'Neal -- his third nephew killed by gun violence.
Johnson told ABC7 News, "He didn't have a chance to really do the things that he wanted to do. He wanted to aspire to be a lot of things, he's great at sports, he worked in catering, and he also did some construction."
Police are stepping up patrols, trying to head off more violence.

It's the neighborhood where San Francisco Supervisor London Breed grew up, in public housing. She says one reason she ran for office is to help those left behind by the gentrification.
"I wanted to make sure that those folks in my community are not forgotten in the process," she said. "As we build these buildings or we change our city, I want them to be included."

Breed says she personally knew all of the victims. They too grew up in the neighborhood. She hopes the vigil will help the families begin to heal.
San Francisco police believe the shooting was gang-related and fear there may be gang retaliation.
