Family members say missing San Ramon woman found alive

San Ramon police are continuing to search for 77-year-old Luba Lusherovich, who suffers from dementia and speaks little English.

SAN RAMON, Calif. (KGO) -- San Ramon resident Luba Lusherovich has been found alive in the Norris Canyon Road area of San Ramon this afternoon, according to her family members.

Lusherovich, 77, walked away from her home on Fountainhead Drive in San Ramon around noon on Wednesday. Her family called police for help after searching for her for several hours.

Lusherovich suffers from dementia and speaks limited English with a heavy Russian accent, police said.

She was last seen walking on Bollinger Canyon Road near Marsh Drive, according to police.

According to her granddaughter-in-law, Kelsey Bye, hundreds of volunteers and search and rescue crew from 11 counties arrived in the area to help search for her Lusherovich.

Bye said Lusherovich has been transported to San Ramon Regional Medical Center and that she is waiting to hear more about her grandmother-in-law's condition.
