No injuries reported in large pallet, barn fire in Gilroy

GILROY, Calif. -- Firefighters responded to a large blaze that has closed a road in Gilroy Wednesday morning, Cal Fire officials said.

The fire was reported just before 5 a.m. and was burning down pallets along with a nearby barn on Ferguson and Crews Roads, according to Cal Fire.

Ferguson Road was closed between state Highway 152 and Dunlap Avenue as crews from Cal Fire, Gilroy, and San Jose battle the blaze, Cal Fire officials said.

No cause for the fire has been determined, no injuries have been reported and no other structures were endangered by the fire, according to Cal Fire officials.
