Oakland police search for suspect after officer shot at, but not struck

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A suspect accused of shooting at a police officer Saturday evening in Oakland is still at large, a police spokeswoman said.



Shortly before 9:30 p.m. an officer in the 1900 block of 73rd Avenue was shot at, but not hit by any bullets, spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said.



The officer was taken to a nearby hospital to be examined.
