SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Crews are responding to a shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District Tuesday afternoon.
Police say an 80-year-old woman was injured from glass fragments after a bullet reportedly came through her window and was not shot as originally feared.
The incident happened at a home on Third Street near Newcomb Avenue just after 4 p.m.
Medical crews arrived at the scene around 4:25 p.m. Details regarding the woman's injuries were not immediately available.
An employee at the Bayview branch public library, located near the shooting, said it appeared there was a carjacking that led to the shooting.
The library employee said police had blocked off the street.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
