SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- ABC7 News has confirmed that San Francisco's 911 service dispatch computer system was down Tuesday afternoon.
From about 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., 911 dispatchers had to manually write down calls.
They also did not have access to computer maps.
The head of the Department of Emergency Management said this is the first time in two years they city's new 911 system had an unplanned disruption.
