SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in San Jose.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire at 1:54 a.m. in the 1500 block of Monterey Street, also known as the Monterey Highway, and found a victim suffering from at least one bullet wound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
As of this morning there was no suspect information available. No arrests have been made and no motive has been established. The shooting remains under investigation.
