SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police Thursday released surveillance video of a violent attack on a taxi driver.
They're hoping this video will lead them to some robbers who also tased their victim.
San Francisco police are looking for two men and two women. Taxi dashcam video captured the attack on August 2 at 4 a.m.
The man in the front passenger seat is suspect number one. There is another guy and two women in the back seat, laughing, having a good time. Police say they're all in their 20s.
At the end of the ride, police say the guy in the front used a stun gun on the taxi driver. Police say one of them helped the ring leader punch the driver.
They eventually took his wallet, phone and backpack before the driver was able to run away to safety.
This incident ended on Texas Street near 25th street. It's the latest taxi robbery in San Francisco.
Others in the recent past include one in January at Sacramento and Drumm streets, one in last December at 12th and Howard streets, and one in May of last year, at Palouf and Dakota. And of course there was a high-profile attack in April of last year when the passenger in this dash cam video used a padlock to attack his driver.
If you recognize any of these suspects, please call the SFPD tip line at 415-575-4444.
