Suspicious death under investigation near UC Berkeley campus

BERKELEY, Calif. -- A man in his early 20s died near the University of California, Berkeley campus Saturday morning, according to police.

Police and firefighters were dispatched to an address in the 2900 block of Channing Way just before 7:30 a.m.

An unresponsive man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The death is under investigation and at this time police say they're unable to release additional details about the incident.
