UCSF psychologist, roommate arrested on child porn charges
San Francisco police say they found more than a thousand child porn images on devices belonging to a UCSF psychiatrist and his roommate.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police say they found more than a thousand child porn images on devices belonging to a UCSF psychiatrist and his roommate.

San Francisco police arrested two men -- one is a UCSF psychiatrist.

They're accused of possessing and even trading child porn.

Dr. Billy Lockhart and his roommate Benjamin Martin were arrested at their San Francisco apartment.

"Yeah, he seemed friendly, yeah,' said neighbor Jennifer Muranjan.

Neighbors didn't really know these men since they moved in just three months ago. Inside their apartment, police say they found more than a thousand files of child pornography.

"Rather scary, yeah," said Muranjan, reacting to the news. "Wow, so I guess with technology, anything can happen."

Police believe Lockhart gathered the child porn on campus before bringing it home.

One UCSF patient worries Lockhart has access to children. "It's sad. It's sad that so many people are obsessed with these kinds of things," said Annette Boysan.

UCSF has placed Lockhart on investigatory leave and suspends his clinical activity and access.
