SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It's primary day in California and the outcome is going to be significant for either Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton.
For some voters, this primary is reminiscent of 2008, when Hillary Clinton was on the ballot, but this time, her supporters are certain she will go on to become the first woman ever to be a presidential candidate for a major party.

"She's progressive and women couldn't vote a long time ago and minorities couldn't vote -- so having to vote is important to me," said Novella Hicks, voter.
The former secretary of state says she still has a lot of work to do.
"According to the news, we are on the brink of a historic, unprecedented moment, but we still have work to do, don't we?" said Hillary Clinton.
On GMA Tuesday morning, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was the latest to endorse Hillary Clinton.

But Bernie Sanders supporters are not losing hope. Sanders himself still in San Francisco today for a private event says he's still in the game and is now waiting for the Democratic National Convention to hear who officially comes out on top.

"We believe there is no nominee, that nominee will not be determined until July 25," said Sanders.
Many of the voters who came out today in San Francisco say at the end of day they would rather see Clinton or Sanders win over Trump.
"The short sightedness, short temper way he handles himself," said Bernie Jiovannini, voter.
