SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Bay Area Democrats held several debate watch parties Tuesday night.

Among young voters, millennials in San Francisco, there appeared to be no clear winner, but many were impressed by Clinton's performance.

Young Democrats in the heart of San Francisco's Marina District listened intently to the candidates as they simultaneously scrolled through posts on their smartphones.

The high point, "Bernie actually saying enough is enough with the emails. Emails are not the issue here," said one woman watching the debate.

That handshake inspired this crowd even though there were few fireworks.

"It doesn't seem to be as lively or entertaining as the Republican debate, because there's not as much infighting. They seem to respect each other, which is simultaneously a good thing, but it's bad as far as getting headlines," said Jason Karsh, a San Francisco Young Democrats member.

"I have enjoyed seeing Secretary Clinton with her depth of knowledge. She's truly the elder statesperson," said San Francisco Young Democrats member Adam Levine.

But others rallied behind Bernie Sanders.

Hene Kelly claims she dated Sanders in college. Kelly was the only senior in the room.

"He hasn't changed a bit. I think I've aged better than him," Kelly said. "I came here to be where the young Democrats are. I want to see who will be the leaders of tomorrow."

"I think the Democrats are all winning. Any of these guys, or women with Clinton, would make a better president than anyone the Republicans have," said Peter Zerzan, a San Francisco Young Democrat member.

"The real impression is going to happen when you have a Democrat and a Republican on the stage together. When you actually put those two together the choice for young people is clear," said San Francisco Democratic Party vice-chair Trevor McNeil.

Also scoring some points tonight with young voters was Governor O'Malley.
