Three Bay Area cities have been named on a list of the 12 fastest moving real estate markets in the country.

San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose were chosen out of more than 140 markets.

Seattle, San Diego, and Houston were also named on the list.

The cities were selected based on the shortest median age of inventory and listing price.

The median listing price for a home in Oakland is $500,000. In San Jose, it's $718,000. And in San Francisco, it's just below $950,000.
