NASA satellite launch flashes across sky

A big flash of light across the sky surprised some people in the Central Coast Saturday morning.

It was actually NASA's Delta 2 rocket carrying a satellite that can measure soil moisture from space.

The launch went off from Vandenberg Air Force base near Santa Maria just before sunrise.
