The shark was stranded Friday afternoon near Pleasure Point.
Brock Johnson shared video of the young adult shark near the shore. Several people tried to get it back to sea but it kept washing back onto shore.
Scientists found its carcass Saturday, and researchers think it either died from a nervous system infection, or got a hook caught in its mouth.
