A San Francisco police officer critically injured in a hit-and-run is being moved into a rehab facility.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A San Francisco police officer critically injured in a hit-and-run is being moved into a rehab facility.

Officer Elia Lewis-Tankel suffered a serious brain injury last month. He was on bike patrol on Turk Street on October 18 when he was struck by the vehicle of a fleeing suspect.

That suspect, 50-year-old Maurquise Johnson, was later arrested after a citywide manhunt.
