SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new survey finds that almost half of shoppers will avoid retailers affected by recent data breaches this holiday season.
The report released Monday by creditcards.com, finds 45 percent of Americans would "definitely not" or "probably not" shop at retailers hit by hackers.
This includes stores like Target, Home Depot and Neiman Marcus.
Retailers can make up to 40 percent of their annual sales over the holidays.
The bright spot comes from women who say they're more likely than men to return to those stores.
