SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There was a celebration of girls and women Saturday in San Francisco.
Hundreds of young women from all over the Bay Area came together at Fort Mason for the first ever WorldWideWomen Festival, a day of empowerment and hands-on learning direct from women working in many different fields.
"Come and sit down and talk to these very accomplished women and get an idea of how to pursue their careers and how to move on," said Maureen Broderick, WorldWideWomen founder.
Mark Cuban from ABC's "Shark Tank" posted a video on Instagram as he prepared to judge young girl entrepreneurs who were there to pitch their ideas to him.
