BEYOND THE HEADLINES
AIRS: Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 10:00AM
Hosted by ABC7's Cheryl Jennings
Our show today focuses on human trafficking, a modern form of slavery that involves controlling someone for the purpose of forced labor, sexual exploitation, and more.
The California Department of Justice says human trafficking is a $32 billion business worldwide. That makes it the second top criminal business around the globe, right behind drug trafficking. One of the nation's hotspots happens to be in California.
Our studio guests talk about their experiences with human trafficking, initiatives, and resources.
