Help underprivileged kids celebrate holidays with 'Holiday Heroes'
How would like to attend the ultimate holiday party while helping out Bay Area children?

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- How would like to attend the ultimate holiday party while helping out Bay Area children?

Then check out Holiday Heroes coming to AT&T Ballpark on Monday, December 7.

It's an event filled with fun family activities galore, fantastic food and sports heroes abound. It's a dream come true for guests young and old.

Over the past several years superstars dropping by have included Olympic skier Jonny Mosley, soccer champ Brandi Chastain, Giants 2014 playoff hero Travis Iishikawa and 49er legend Joe Montana.

ABC& news anchors Cheryl Jennings and Kristen Sze serve on the advisory board of the Wender-Weis Foundation, founded by Amy Wender-Hoch, to support Bay Area children from under-served communities. It's a party with a purpose.

"One thing that we're so excited about is we're able to bring 300 kids from under-privileged backgrounds. For many, this is their only holiday celebration they will have," said Wender-Hoch.

Your ticket purchase enables those kids to attend and supports non-profits devoted to creating opportunities for them the rest of the year.

Guests delight in getting celebrity autographs, visiting the Giants locker room and batting cage, and for the first time this year, running the bases on the very field that the Giants play on!

"We'll have face-painting, a balloon artist and we'll have the three World Series trophies. And the Warriors are also going to be bringing their trophy for the first hour of the event," said Wender-Hoch.

Sports heroes attending this year include members of the 49ers and the Oakland Raiders and the Bay Area's own Olympic skating champion, Kristi Yamaguchi. She will receive the Inspiration Award for her work on behalf of children through her Always Dream Foundation.
