SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Thousands of people are expected Sunday for the public memorial service honoring San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
Doors for the memorial open at 2 p.m. with the service scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
Acting Mayor London Breed, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and Representative Nancy Pelosi are among the public officials scheduled to speak. Mayor Lee's two daughters, Tania and Brianna Lee, are also expected to speak.

Standing room only space will be available upstairs on the balcony.
The owner of Sam's Diner, where Mayor Lee was a regular, plans to attend. "I will be there," said Jeannie Kim. Mayor Lee ate his last breakfast at Sam's Diner on Market Street Monday morning. Kim says she won't forget his generosity and support. "We are going to dedicate this table, we'll have a little plaque for him."
