San Francisco Pride Parade honors Orlando shooting victims
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A large crowd honored the victims killed at a nightclub in Orlando during San Francisco's Pride Parade on Sunday.
Massive crowds lined Market Street to celebrate and remember the lives lost in the mass shooting. "We are here in solidarity with the people of Orlando," one man said.

One group walked with a moving tribute as they held pictures of every victim of the Orlando nightclub shooting.
Lisa and Catalina Duque came from Orlando to show their pride and support. "They represented families so that's why we came, that's who we are," Orlando resident Catalina said.

"Support of people in general and you just feel the love everywhere you go," Lisa said.
San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee decided to walk not ride the route to honor the victims. "Our hearts are hurt by Orlando. We're going to get past this hate and we have to disarm hate, that's what we have to do," Lee said.

"I was actually nervous to come, my friends said it's going to be dangerous, but to me I thought it would be worth it. It's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience," Sacramento resident Meraiah Radge said.
There were extra police officers along the parade route on bikes and on foot.
Many say they felt safer with the increased police staffing. "At the same time you need to know that nothing will keep us down. We need to show our support all the time and we're never afraid to do that," Merced resident Anthony Hill said.
