Larry Beil interviews Stephen Curry
ABC7's Larry Beil interviews Stephen Curry ahead of the 3-point contest for the NBA All-Star Saturday.

NEW YORK (KGO) -- Stephen Curry walked away the winner of the NBA three-point contest for All-Star weekend scoring 27-points Saturday night. The Golden State Warriors' guard might be the man of the weekend, and even he can't believe how quickly it's happened after he was an All-Star snub just two years ago.

Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving also advanced to the championship round of the All-Star Saturday Night contest.

Irving was up first and scored 17-points. He was followed by Curry and then Thompson, who scored 14-points.

The actual NBA All-Star game is Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. But for many NBA fans, the real action is Saturday with various skills competitions and the ever-popular slam-dunk competition across town at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
