Things were supposed to slow down a bit once quarterback Andrew Luck and the rest of the Indianapolis Colts' offense left Thursday night's preseason game after the first series against the New York Jets.

But former Colts running back Chris Rainey -- who was released July 28 for a violation of team rules -- did his part via Twitter to try to keep things interesting in the Jets' 13-10 win.

"Yea I'm piss watching the colts game when I should be out there, too. Even tho i didn't break no f----- team rules, not even," Rainey tweeted.

Rainey put up another tweet four minutes later after running back Daniel "Boom" Herron scored a touchdown.

"Nice TD Boom even tho u was in the hallway with me that nite when we was horsing around with the fire extinguisher. Man up like I did," Rainey tweeted.

Rainey later deleted the two tweets, but it was too late, as several of his followers took screen shots of them.

While details of his release remain cloudy, Rainey's departure came a year after he was arrested and charged with a count of simple battery in Gainesville, Florida, in January 2013.
