Derek Carr (pinkie) practices in full, wears glove on right hand

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carrwas a full participant in practice on Wednesday, three days after dislocating his right (passing) pinkie in two places on a mistimed snap from center Rodney Hudson.

Carr practiced with a black glove on his right hand, and while he threw passes and handed the ball off from the shotgun, he never took snaps from under center during the open media portion of practice.

The Raiders host the Buffalo Billson Sunday.

Earlier Wednesday, Carr kept his injured right hand in his hoodie pocket during his media availability and downplayed the severity of the injury, giving virtually the same answer to every question about the pinkie.

Asked how his finger felt, Carr said, "It's great. Thank you for asking."

Carr was then asked whether the injury would alter his grip or throwing motion.

"It's doing great, thank you," he said. "How's yours?"

Asked whether he would continue to take snaps from under center or go back to the shotgun, Carr said, "No limitations. It's doing great, thank you."

Finally, when asked whether he was taking painkillers, he said, "It's doing great. Thank you very much."

Carr was injured on the second snap of the second half of Sunday's 35-32 comeback victory over the Carolina Panthers, when a snap from Hudson jammed into Carr's pinkie. Carr's older brother David said on NFL Network that the finger was dislocated in two places.

After missing one series against Carolina, Carr returned wearing a black glove on his right hand. After throwing an interception, he led Oakland to two fourth-quarter scores and tallied his fifth game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime this season and his ninth since the start of the 2015 season.
