Gonzaga Bulldogsfreshman Domantas Sabonis is returning for his sophomore campaign.

Zags coach Mark Few told ESPN that the Lithuanian 6-foot-10 power forward never seriously considered declaring for the NBA after this season, one in which he averaged 9.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Sabonis is the son of former overseas star and NBA big man Arvydas Sabonis.

Gonzaga will lose its starting backcourt of Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell Jr. but will replace them with Josh Perkins, who redshirted after breaking his jaw in November, and Silas Melson, who averaged 3.2 points per game as a freshman this season. Former Vanderbilt and Tulsa guard Eric McClellan, who wasn't eligible until the middle of the season, will also compete for a starting spot.
