Fans hoping for Warriors to regain series lead over Grizzlies

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Golden State Warriors are coming back to the Bay Area for Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals at the Oracle Arena.

The series is tied 2-2 and fans will try to cheer the Warriors on to regain the lead.

They've rolled out the gold carpet outside Oracle Arena and inside is also ready to go.

There are more than 19,000 t-shirts reading "strength in numbers" ready for fans to wear but the team decided that shirts aren't enough.

For the first time, there are spirit sleeves that will go to the first 2,000 fans that check in on Facebook.

The blue and gold will be blinding. Hopefully the noise will be deafening and the Warriors will use that to beat the Grizzlies.

The Dubs are looking to take the series lead.

They aren't the only team playing in Oakland. Next door, the A's have a daytime game against the Boston Red Sox and fans have already started to arrive.

They plan to watch the Warriors game as well.

It's a great day for sports in the East Bay. "It was my 40th birthday yesterday. My wife and I came to the game last night. My coworkers and I are here for the game today and we're going to be watching the game on TV tonight. It would be fantastic to back up the Warriors game with the A's game but unfortunately I don't have tickets to that. It's a tough ticket to get," Warriors and A's fan Matt Bocage said.

"Everybody is pretty excited about the Warriors doing so well. It's a pretty important game though, it would be pretty neat to see them win the whole thing this year," another fan said.

The Dubs played a great game Monday night and beat the Grizzlies decisively after losing two in a row.

They need to take advantage of having home court advantage for Game 5 because the team heads back to Memphis for Game 6.

The NBA has released some more tickets for Wednesday's game.
